Chicken Soup

I want to thank my classmate and one of my group mates Shirley for a great lunch yesterday in celebrating Chinese New Year. I felt so welcome. Her mom and dad were very engaging. Her family was very accommodating, appreciated much.

Today, holiday is still extended; and this time I want to share a chicken soup that’s very easy to prepare for the family.

Ingredients:

First Part:
½ kg chicken
2 tablespoon cooking oil
garlic
salt and pepper
½ liter of water
1 cup macaroni
½ cup milk

Put some cooking oil in a pan. Sauté chicken with garlic, salt and pepper for 3 minutes. Add water and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Add ½ cup of milk together with macaroni.  Make sure the pasta to be tender for about 7 to 10 minutes.

Second Part:
2 tablespoon cooking oil
garlic
salt and pepper
¼ kg of cabbage
¼ cup of carrot
¼ cup of onion stalk

Again, put some cooking oil in a pan. Sauté cabbage and carrot with garlic, salt and pepper together for 3 minutes. Put the macaroni soup we prepare and mix with onion stalk for another 2 minutes.

The chicken soup is now ready. Happy serving. =)

Love,
Meg
