For the past three articles of Today’s
Word by Ptr. Joel Osteen, it talked about the word ‘asking’. Relatively, it has
something to do on what to ask, how to ask or should I say, what is the
condition of our hearts in asking towards our God.
In Matthew 6:8 it says that… for
your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. If this verse says so, then
what else the point of asking if our God already knows it? If He can perceive everything
even if we didn’t utter any single word, then what’s the reason we still need
to ask?
Well it’s all about faith. The
main reason why God needs to do it --- it’s because God Himself wants to exercise our own
faith. The need of asking is different from begging. Asking equates to faith that believing He can give everything. The measure of what He will
give determines the condition of our hearts. Remember that our God is a
generous god. He owns everything and if He owns everything --- I mean everything…
then ‘name it’.
I believe that whatever we asked
from God, we have to believe that it has been answered. Whether it’s Yes or No,
the final say will always be yes. It’s just a matter of time for everyone to know,
realize and accept it. Remember that He is always working for the best in our
hearts because He is our God and we are His. =)
