Kitchenomics!


Kare- Kare for this Holiday (All Saints' Day) season =)


Ingredients:

1.2 kg pork pata (cut up)
4 cloves garlic (crushed)
2 tbsp patis 
150 grams eggplant (sliced)
150 grams banana heart (trimmed and sliced)
100 grams sitaw (cut into 3” long)
100 grams pechay tagalog 
2 packs (50 grams each) Del Monte Quick 'n Easy Kare-Kare Mix

Procedure:

1. Rub pata with garlic and patis. Boil in enough water for 5 minutes. Drain, discard the broth.

2. Add 3 cups water to the pata and Simmer until meat is tender.

3. Retain only 1½ cups broth in pan. Add DEL MONTE Kare Kare Mix and vegetables except pechay. Simmer until vegetables are cooked.

4. Add pechay. Simmer once. Serve with sautéed baggong alamang.


Makes 10 to 12 servings. =)
