Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher). Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.
--John 20:16-18
What an amazing scene. Mary Magdalene had thought Jesus was dead. Instead she comes face to face with the resurrected Lord!
The hope that Mary experienced the day of Jesus’ resurrection is the same hope you and I will celebrate this Easter Sunday.
Hope that comes from Jesus Christ is not just wishful thinking. It is a powerful reality that changes all of life. HOPE...
Helps you. It helps you cope with the darkness of disappointment. When you know Jesus Christ, you see Easter as more than a religious observance. It is the reality of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!
Opens to you the possibility of restoration after defeat. Because Jesus came back from the grave, you can be restored and renewed, no matter how defeated you may feel.
Provides you an answer when you doubt. Today, you may be wondering if all this is really true. If so, I advise you to sincerely search for God with all your heart by reading the Bible and listening to His Word being preached. Because He will show Himself strong on your behalf.
Enables you to conquer death. Through your trust in Christ, you will live forever with Him.
Did you know that 60 percent of Americans will go to church this Easter? And did you know that only 25 percent of those who go even know Easter’s true meaning?
I don’t want you to miss the true meaning of Easter! Because Jesus Christ lives, you can be forgiven of your sins, you can live a fulfilling life, and you can have eternal HOPE!
YOU CAN HAVE HOPE TODAY BECAUSE OF CHRIST’S RESURRECTION!

“Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you. And I besought the LORD at that time, saying, O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?”
Deuteronomy 3:22–24
There was a beautiful story D. L. Moody liked to tell about a wealthy man in England who wanted to help one of his fellow church members who was very poor. He did not want what he was doing to become public knowledge, so he entrusted a large sum of money to an officer of the church to give to the man. Knowing the situation, the officer sent the poor man five pounds along with a note: “More to follow.” Every few weeks, he would send another five pounds with the same note. The recipient of the gift could be confident that the resources were there to help supply his needs.
When Moses looked back near the end of his life as Israel prepared to enter the Promised Land, he made the amazing statement that God had “begun to shew...thy greatness.” Thinking about all that Moses had seen—the burning bush, the plagues in Egypt, the parting of the Red Sea, the manna from Heaven and so much more—we would normally think that was a lot. But compared to the infinite power of God, Moses realized that all those miracles didn’t even scratch the surface of what God could do.
Many Christians live like they are afraid God is going to run out of resources. They would never say that, but they do not tap into the promises He has given us. We tend to limit God in our thinking to what we can figure out, but He is beyond our conception. Nothing is impossible for Him. And we can fully trust Him to meet our needs.
Today's Growth Principle:
God is always more than enough for any challenge that we may face.
