“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” (Matthew 19:26 NIV)
Everything is possible with God.
“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible’”(Matthew 19:26 NIV).
Why did Saddleback Church launch The PEACE Plan? What makes us think that we could lead hundreds of thousands of other churches to go after the five biggest problems on the planet? The answer is we have a big God. People say, “Who do you think you are?” Wrong question. The question is, “Who do we think God is?” My God can do anything.
Jesus said, “According to your faith let it be done to you” (Matthew 9:29).
God wants to use you. He wants to bless you. He wants to do amazing things in your life. He wants you to be a world changer. But he’s waiting for you to trust him. You need to stop saying, “I can’t.” “I can’t make this marriage work.” “I can’t do what God wants me to do.” That’s a lie! All things are possible with God.
Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of — infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes” (TLB). That’s why I push you through these devotionals, because I know you have enormous potential — far beyond what you ever imagined. God wants to use you, and according to your faith it will be done to you.
You know what the opposition to your faith is? It’s not other people. It’s not critics. It’s not even the devil. It’s your own unbelief. You are the biggest problem in your own life. Why don’t you believe God more? Why don’t you trust him more? It’s your choice. There are a lot of things you don’t have control over, but you can choose to believe God.
Do you want God to do big things in your life? Then start believing.

Talk It Over
  • What is something seemingly impossible that you want God to do in your life? Do you honestly believe he can do it?
  • How does thanking God in advance show him your belief?
  • What is an “I can’t” that you need to turn into a “God can”?
Today’s Scripture
“Where there is no guidance the people fall, but in abundance of counselors there is victory.”
(Proverbs 11:14, NASB)

Safety in Numbers
Are you facing an important decision today? God wants to give you the answer. He wants to direct your steps. Many times, He will speak to us through the people He has placed in our lives. That’s why the Bible says that safety is found in a multitude of advisors.
God designed us to live in families, communities and congregations. We need to be open to receiving input from the people who are close to us. That doesn’t mean you have to follow everything everyone tells you. But if you’re in a particular situation or relationship, and all the people around you are giving you the same word of caution, it might be God trying to get a message to you. Take that advice and bring it before the Lord in prayer. Ask Him to confirm His perfect plan to your heart. Remember, wisdom comes from God, and wise counsel will always be in agreement with God’s Word. He will always confirm the answer when you ask Him.
Whatever you are facing today, be open to receiving wise counsel. As you do, you will be blessed and protected and walk in confidence down the path the Lord has prepared for you!
A Prayer for Today
“Heavenly Father, thank You for the people You have placed in my life as wise counsel. Help me understand Your truth so that I can make godly choices. Keep me close to You always and lead me in the way everlasting in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
