Don't Give Up

Don't Give Up

Today's Scripture:

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up
Galatians 6:9, NLT.

Today's Word:

Are you believing God for something that is taking longer than you thought or expected? If you are praying according to His promises, no matter how long you may have been standing, don’t give up! Your season is coming. Your harvest of blessing is on its way. It might be today, it might be tomorrow, it might be next week, next month or next year; but remember, at the right time you will experience your breakthrough. Be encouraged today because God is faithful, and His promises are true. Keep standing, keep hoping, keep believing. Keep doing good. Keep declaring the promises of God over your life.

Choose to be around people who are going to encourage you and fill your heart and mind with God’s Word. Let a song of praise come out of your mouth. As you continue to press on in faith and keep an attitude of victory, you will see your harvest of blessing and live as an overcomer in every area of your life.

Prayer for Today:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. Fill me with Your strength to keep doing good and standing firm until I see my harvest of blessing. Thank You for Your peace and grace in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Shape Your Own Worldview

“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT)
You may not realize it, but every day you are affected and influenced by the worldviews of other people. Not only that — every day you’re influenced by your own worldview. The fact is, it determines your happiness, your success in life, your peace of mind, your stress level, and your confidence level.
So, what is a worldview?
Your worldview is the beliefs that you build your life on. It’s how you view everything in life — God, yourself, other people, Satan. Your worldview includes your thoughts about life, death, the future, suffering, relationships, and money. Everything you think about life is included in what we call your worldview.
Your worldview affects every area of your life. So, if you want to change your life, you’ve got to change your mind first. You’ve got to change what you believe.
You may be operating on an outdated, out of order, faulty, or false worldview. The Bible says this in 2 Corinthians 5:17: “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” (NLT) That means that when you begin a relationship with Christ, you get a new identity. God says everything you’ve ever done wrong is completely forgiven and completely forgotten. It means you get a fresh start on life.
The problem is, even with a new identity, in your mind, you’re still playing old tapes — those old tapes of things that people told you when you were growing up which may not be true, like, “You’re uncoordinated,” so you act that way. “You’re not very good at sports,” so you act that way. “You’re never going to amount to anything” or “You’re not good at this or that.” All these things are in your database, and some of them need to be erased. You need to get a new view of God and a new view of yourself and your purpose.
You need to get in line with truth and reality — not what you think might be true but what is actually true in life based on what the Bible says.
The good news is this: Although a worldview can make your life miserable, worldview is a choice. You can believe anything you want, or you can believe nothing if you want to. Even God doesn’t force you to believe anything. He has created you in his image, and he’s given you the free will to choose what you believe and what you don’t believe.
If your beliefs are making you miserable or if they are false, you can change them. In fact, you can start right now and get more in line with God’s view of reality through the study of his Word.
You have a new identity in Christ. Now use it to shape what you believe.
Talk About It
  • On what have you based your worldview?
  • In what ways can you see how your worldview has positively or negatively affected your decisions and outlook on life?
