May 2013 Missions Updates: Pearl Delta, China

May 2013
Dear Partner,

Your partnership empowers Every Nation to send our missionaries into the mission fields and enables God’s work to be done in the nations of the world. Thank you for your generosity and faith!

This newsletter contains an exciting update about the 2013 Pearl Delta Discipleship Convergence. The Every Nation churches in Macau, Hong Kong, and three other cities in Mainland China converged in Macau for a time of worship, equipping, and encouragement.

We believe no cultural or religious barrier is too strong for the Gospel, even in the most restricted nations on earth. This month, we are excited to update you with real stories of life change and discipleship in China.

These true-to-life stories are the fruits of your prayers and support! Nations that are resistant to the Gospel are getting reached and experiencing the same revival thanks in great part to your faithful giving. May God continue to bless the work of your hands!

EVERY NATION HOLDS FIRST-EVER PEARL DELTA DISCIPLESHIP CONVERGENCE

Every Nation Timor Leste
Last March 23, 2013, around 120 pastors and small group leaders from the Every Nation churches in Macau, Hong Kong, and three other cities in Mainland China converged in Macau for the first-ever Pearl Delta Discipleship Convergence.
Originally envisioned as a locality-based gathering, the Pearl Delta Discipleship Convergence would now become a yearly event involving churches from the entire region.

The first-ever Pearl Delta Discipleship Convergence was a time of worship, fellowship, and equipping for the leaders of our Every Nation churches in the Pearl Delta region. Click here to read more.

The Gospel changes lives in China

The Every Nation churches in China are doing great things in the name of Jesus, and lives are changing for the better in this highly restricted nation. We receive several encouraging stories, and are excited to share two with you now.

A college junior in one Chinese university accepted Jesus a few months after regularly attending our missionary team’s English classes. Touched by the warmth and authenticity of the spiritual family, she is now following Jesus and being discipled by one of our China missionaries. This girl, who has never read the Bible before, is hungry to know more about Christ.

Four students from another Chinese University heard about having a purpose for the first time during the LIFE seminar held by our missionaries and a Ten Days team last month. These students are eager to understand and learn more by reading the Bible and attending small group gatherings. This resulted in the birthing of a new small group in the university.

PRAYER POINTS

  •   Pray for the upcoming Marriage Boosters event to be held in Macau, led by Pastor Manny Carlos. Pray for unity and stronger marriages among the attendees.
  •   Pray for our campuses in the Pearl Delta region. Ask God for spiritual growth and excellence among the students we are reaching.
  •   Pray for a team to be formed and sent to Pakistan within the year to start church plant work there.
